The candidate will be responsible for processing invoices and providing ad-hoc support to the team in financial reporting tasks delivery. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of the IT department’s operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing.
- Capitalisation and depreciation workings for IT spend.
- Accruals accounting for IT services and variance analysis and spend against plan.
- Assisting with the IT financial plan.
- Create Purchase Orders on PO365 system for Project Managers upon request.
- Processing handoff’s from Project managers for month end reporting.
- Review, validate, and process IT-related invoices.
- Ensure invoices are accurately coded and recorded in the financial system, mapping between Opex and Capex.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
- Work closely with the IT PMO Team to support the Change Delivery function.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss financial performance, forecasts, and budgets.
- Working as a Finance Business partner to IT.
The ideal candidate will be providing further ad-hoc support in producing financial reports for project forecasts/expenditure.
- Financial Reporting support:
- Support the preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to the IT department.
- Assist in the preparation of budget vs. actual analysis, highlighting key variances.
- Provide data and analysis to support IT cost management and financial planning.
- Provide support on financial data analysis and developing insights and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making.
- Support for Project Managers:
- Assist IT project managers with monthly finance extracts and ensure timely submission.
- Maintain and update financial trackers for all IT projects.
- Provide support on financial queries related to ongoing and planned IT projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge in financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting IT functions or working in a tech environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with IT terminology and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
