Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complementary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. We operate out of two main sites in Sydney and Auckland, with two satellite operations in Melbourne and Brisbane. All our sites are GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO 17025.  In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.

Operating in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this ultra-modern contract-testing laboratory is seeking a Senior Microbiologist with sound analytical skills for an immediate start.

Accredited with the TGA and APVMA, the high-tech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and capable of hitting the ground running in a fast-paced, friendly environment, ready to provide sound theoretical and practical knowledge to a dedicated team of like-minded professionals.

Candidates must be familiar with and possess the ability to perform routine microbiological pharmacopeial testing (USP, BP), on raw material and finished products.  The position relies heavily on expertise in microbiological techniques, such as performing fully aseptic routine microbiological testing: (bioburden, specific microorganisms, preservative efficacy and environmental monitoring).  Additional experience in OOS investigations & method validation, confirmation of presumptive results, trouble shooting and the maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment will be highly regarded.

At a minimum, a degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related discipline is essential, prior experience working within a TGA, NATA or ISO accredited Laboratory will also be highly regarded.

Imperative to the successful operations of this highly respected testing facility is a strict understanding and adherence to the cGMP quality system, consideration of time-sensitive workloads and the accurate and thorough recording of all results, activities and deviations encountered during the varying stages of analysis.
