We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.NHS Greater Glasgow and ClydeDeputy Medical Director- Primary CarePrimary Care- 5 PA’s + Management AllowanceWe are now seeking expressions of interest from within our current medical cohort for the position of Deputy Medical Director- Primary Care.The successful candidate will demonstrate previous medical management experience within Primary Care settings and possess strong influencing and leadership qualities and the ability to inspire the confidence and respect of colleagues to lead and deliver on key professional and service objectives.This role carries an annual management fee (currently £25,000) and a time allowance equivalent to 5 Progamme Activities which will be discussed on an individual basis to determine the working pattern for direct clinical care and supporting professional activities.In this role, you will provide professional leadership to staff within primary care, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and ensuring there are robust systems are in place to monitor, review and improve clinical performance in line with Professional standards.You will also directly influence the strategic direction of the Board and will support the Board Medical Director to plan high quality, economic, safe, efficient and patient-centred services in compliance with local and national targets.Candidates should possess and demonstrate evidence of core leadership competencies including:
