As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals bring their commitment to accuracy and quality to deliver groundbreaking innovations.Job DescriptionThermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Labs Site Services Team Leader to ensure the seamless operation of our transportation and shipping efforts. This role presents an outstanding opportunity to lead a distributed team, implement world-class logistics solutions, and collaborate with top-tier professionals in a dynamic and innovative environment.Job ResponsibilitiesGlobal oversight of the Tracking Team and Shipping Assistants.Evaluate performance, identify, and address performance problems.Act as a point of escalation for logistical issues.Ensure efficient and effective operations within the department.Supervise and participate in daily operations, following up on complaints/issues until resolution.Provide training for new personnel and when new processes are implemented.Attend study protocol meetings and educate staff on issues requiring attention.Develop holiday planning for the team.Manage Logistics Coordinators of the Tracking Team.Act as a backup to the Team Lead of the Maintenance Team.Manage courier performance and save monthly performance reports on SharePoint.Attend QBR and client meetings to present courier capabilities and challenges.Manage IATA certification for the Logistics Team and handle related responsibilities.Coordinate the review and action required on custom reports.Handle operational performance issues, including courier assignments and service interruptions.Manage logistics quality events and maintain SharePoint.Support and serve as a backup to Team Lead Site Services_Study Maintenance and (Associate) Manager Site Services_Global Logistics.Education and ExperiencePreferred degree: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years).Proven leadership skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProven negotiation and problem resolution skills.Excellent verbal communication skills.Outstanding analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making.Expert knowledge of site services and investigational products.Maintains confidentiality of client protocols and study data.Strong computer skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to promote a collaborative team environment.Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
