Job description

Provide L2 and L3 Application Support for critical Swift Payments system used within the Payment Operations area.
Skills:

  • At least 5+ Years of total experience with 3 years of experience in a support role
  • Knowledge or experience of some of the following will be a distinct advantage:
  • SWIFT
  • UNIX
  • AIX
  • Client or other basic SQL
  • MQ
  • Perl or Shell programming skills desirable
  • Experience in Banking Domain
  • Experience in NFT Testing will also be beneficial

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of issues and be proactive in coordinating distributed teams to resolve issues within the specified SLAs.
  • Work closely with the team to share and priorities work load for self and team members within cluster, consistent with any appropriate direction from customer.
  • Will be required to provide on-call support on rota for Out of Office hour support.
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to learn on the job and work well under pressure
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision, but within boundaries
  • Strong communication skills at all levels (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities
  • Able to clearly define problems to others
  • Capable of resolving complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Proactive problem solving experience, using judgement to make decisions where no clear precedent may exist
  • Strong work organization and prioritization skills
  • As part of small tactical changes, undertake analysis, code development & testing including test approach, implementation approach planning & production deployment.
  • Engage with customer SME and any other stakeholders (3rd parties) as needed.
  • Prepare and submit status reports and Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the methods, productivity and quality of work produced.
