JOB SUMMARY:

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruiting lifecycle of mostly Appliance Repair Technician candidates from sourcing to start date, as well as providing support in the onboarding process and talent retention through the use of cost effective and time efficient recruiting strategies. This position is accountable for the development of high potential, high performance candidate hires. The role is also be responsible for the development of proactive recruitment programs and will cultivate relationships with both internal and external customers in the recruiting process.

JOB SCOPE:

Manages a number of business clients supporting specified businesses in specific regions. Typically carries 25 – 45 requisitions at any given time, not including peak hiring times.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sources appliance repair technician candidates for Sears Home Services, conduct screening interviews to qualify, facilitate manager interviews, document the process and feedback in our ATS, make hiring recommendations, negotiate and deliver offers and track results
  • Determines ongoing recruitment needs in conjunction with business partners and ensures achievement of hiring goals.
  • Reviews market and compensation conditions with business partners and makes recommendations to assure competitive strategy
  • Identifies, develops, and utilizes effective recruiting techniques through market research, database queries, cold calling, internet prospecting, career fairs, networking and applicant tracking system
  • Manages candidate through the recruiting process, including on-going communication, interview and travel itineraries, and maintaining appropriate candidate follow-up during the process
  • Maintains contact and candidate information to ensure database integrity, compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and for current and future job opportunities
  • Acts as an integral member of the overall recruiting team; shares strategies and information, and develops successful outcomes
  • Promotes Sears Home Service/Transformco and affiliates as the employer of choice to all potential candidates by providing up to date information regarding the company, culture, benefits, and opportunity
  • Engages in social media activities to promote hiring opportunities and contribute to a positive employer brand for the Sears Home Services/Transformco family of companies
  • Targets recruitment programs to increase the company’s diversity representation throughout the country
  • Reports data into recruitment metrics processes to track activities and report results
  • Establishes strong relationships with professional organizations and networking venues
  • Attends Career Fairs as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some undergraduate education
  • 3-4 years of related experience (preferably with skilled trades candidates)
  • Valid Driver License for the State of employment
  • Up to 25% travel
  • 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and assessing candidates (preferably within the blue collar/skilled trades population)
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to posses a positive customer service attitude
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and address urgent assignments with a calm demeanor
  • A team player in the truest sense, with an ability to support team members and work with partners across different teams and time zones
  • Strong ability to successfully cold call, source and screen talent
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to prioritize and drive forward both the daily tactical activities as well as strategic initiatives
  • Well organized and persuasive written, verbal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of sitting and some standing and walking, with bending and reaching as necessary
  • Ability to demonstrate self control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong ability to successfully identify top talent through various methods of sourcing passive talent and utilizing technology
  • Strong ability to successfully identify top talent through interviewing techniques
  • Possess working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with Jobvite CRM and Workday ATS
