Clonmel Community Network CLG are recruiting for a temporary community employment supervisor to supervise our community employment scheme managing CE positions in the Clonmel, Co. Tipperary area. The supervisor will work to provide effective and efficient management and co-ordination if the human, financial and material resources of the CE scheme and will report to the Chairperson/Directors of Clonmel Community Network CLG its implementation. Essential: candidates ideally have attained a Major Third Level qualification (QQI Level 6 or higher). Candidates must evidence competency in one or more of the following areas: Business/Financial Administration, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, training, HR, ICT skills (for example: Microsoft Office), Payroll and have three years supervisory experience. Full clean driving licence and use of car. Desirable: previous CE supervisory experience, experience of developing training plans or training delivery with a clear understanding of QQI and Major Awards. The core aspect of the role is to provide opportunity, support and to coach CE Participants towards gaining the skills and competencies in preparation for employment. To ensure the effective and efficient administration and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme and to report to the Sponsoring Committee on its implementation. Understanding of the role of the Community Employment Supervisor as it pertains to project management and programme delivery to long-term unemployed. Key Tasks: duties and responsibilities: Manage and supervise the operation of the Community Employment Scheme. Coordination of the programme on a day to day basis; To provide coordination, support and supervision for the participants Capability to direct, motivate, coach and mentor jobseekers Sourcing training, employment opportunities for participants Coaching, interviews preparation for participants Developing core accredited modules of training and sourcing tutors for the training aspect of the programme; Liaising with Department of Social Protection (DSP) in terms of administration of the programme and overall relevant funding requirements; To work in a way which promotes a supportive environment that is conducive to learning and upskilling. Report directly to Chairperson/Board of Directors of CCN, prepare reports & attend staff meetings Effect policy in relation to best practice employment of CE participants Ensure the implementation of all up to date legislation in policies regarding employment of CE participants. Development of Individual Development Learning Plans for each CE participant Administration of the DSP accounts and budgets Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to operate as part of a team Committee work Hours of work are 39 hours/ week and some flexibility may be required.
