Job DescriptionWe have a wonderful opportunity at Biotech for a Site Supply Chain Lead. The Supply Chain Director leads the supply chain organization at Biotech Dublin, engaging with teams across the site and network to partner in the manufacture and supply of Biological Drug Substance.Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the site supply chain organization, including the following groups: Supply and Capacity Planning, Logistics / Warehouse and Procurement.
- Lead cross site team providing ongoing coaching and support, including the development and performance management of individuals.
- Be a leader within the Site Leadership Team, participate in the development of the Site Strategy and long-term Business Development Plan.
- Enable smooth facility operations, enable, and balance tech transfer timing, and reliable supply for commercial operations.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and other business compliance regulations.
- Responsible for site capacity planning and alignment with the Manufacturing Division Capacity Planning models.
- Support Site Tech transfers and alignment with VCMT (Value Chain Management Team) initiatives.
- Identify target areas for business process improvements and manage projects to ensure achievement of results.
- Support linkage of IPT (Integrated Process Team) and Operational/Business strategic goals to current market/customer environment and corporate strategy.
- Financial Stewardship: Annual operating plan, inventory management, budget planning and control and balance raw material and inventory risks and opportunities.
- Identifies risks within the supply chain and partners with support areas to develop mitigation plans.
- Prioritisation of proposed mitigation plans and/or acceptance of Quality Risks identified as part of the Quality Risk Management Process under the remit of decision maker roles and responsibilities.
- Partner with Planning / Procurement & Logistic networks to share internal and external Supply Chain Management best practices and industry trends. Identify potential gaps and recommend solutions in areas of On Time in Full delivery to plan, Sales & Operations Planning, Capacity Planning, Forecasting, Vendor Management, Distribution and Logistics.
- Supplier Base – Ensure Supplier Continuous Improvement Program Key Element Assessment and Supplier Review processes are in place and effective. Initiatives to drive efficiencies and cost reduction into our vendor base.
- Participate and Comply with our Manufacturing Division Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ownership in relevant areas.

Technical:

- Knowledge of and experience in applying Operational Excellence (MPS, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies).
- Knowledge of internal and external regulations and applicable systems.
- Familiarity with SAP system and operability
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Degree qualification (Supply Chain, Science, Engineering) or relevant experience.
- Minimum 8 years experience in supply chain or operations management, in the pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating industry,
