OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Learning and Development (L+D) leader with experience executing global strategy while supporting local developmental needs and leading a small team of professionals. This role reports into the Global Head of Learning and Development (based in the United States) with close ties to the local Human Resources team. The successful candidate will partner with a broad range of colleagues globally, including HR generalists, L+D and HR team members, senior leaders, as well as business and technical experts, to help build and deliver initiatives that will help grow our leaders and improve performance.Within Susquehanna, the L+D team’s purpose is to provide value-added experiences that help to drive performance, grow and retain talent, and enhance engagement. We do this by providing impactful learning and development solutions that develop employees and managers.In this role, you will:

  • Consult and collaborate with HR and senior leaders on their learning, development, coaching, and talent priorities across the Dublin and London offices.
  • Partner closely with global L+D team to identify solutions that can be used to support local needs and to ensure alignment of direction.
  • Manage a small team of L+D professionals to ensure alignment, help prioritize work, and provide coaching and feedback to ensure development and success.
  • Support strategic team development and organizational design in partnership with senior leaders in the firm.
  • Support the change process for leaders and teams, both from a personal and organizational perspective.
  • Provide targeted coaching using common assessment tools for leaders and employees to help them reach their potential and maximize their performance and impact.
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs that align with business goals and tailor content to specific client needs.
  • Facilitate instructor-led workshops and learning events on various topics, such as management skills, professional skills, team building, mentoring, graduate and intern programming, business acumen, and cultural orientation.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in a Learning and Development role, with leadership responsibilities
  • Experience coaching and consulting with senior leaders; ideally the successful candidate will have corporate experience and we are open to candidates who have both corporate experience and are currently engaged in executive coaching outside
  • Experience with supporting and leading change management and organizational design initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree and coaching certification required
  • Outstanding consultative and partnering skills including excellent listening and questioning skills.
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with the executive team in an organization.
  • Outstanding coaching and feedback delivery skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to build scalable, high impact, mission- driven training programs.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual comfortable to take initiative and execute high quality work product.
  • Actively seeks feedback from team and stakeholders, then adjusts approach accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and training delivery.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and balance needs of the local office with the direction of the global L+D function.
