Responsibilities– Collaborate as part of a unified team to deliver multiple projects, promoting a “one team” culture.
– Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability policies and standards on-site.
– Foster a proactive Health and Safety mindset within the team.
– Work closely with clients, client representatives, and third-party agencies to ensure smooth project coordination.
– Provide an exceptional client experience, emphasizing collaboration and cooperation.
– Lead the construction team in all aspects of the MEICA works.
– Coordinate with civil/building engineers and process teams to ensure seamless integration.
– Serve as the PSDP coordinator on live projects, liaising with designers and ensuring all PSCS documentation is up to date.
– Conduct regular site inspections, lead toolbox talks, and whiteboard meetings to ensure safety standards.
– Implement Lean Construction and Last Planner techniques for optimal project management.
– Monitor project performance, mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
– Report monthly project performance to the framework manager, focusing on programme, budget, and HSQE metrics.
– Lead procurement efforts, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and sub-contracts within budget.
– Manage project cashflow, ensuring timely submission of interim payment applications.
– Train, mentor, and develop your team, setting out clear development plans.
– Participate in resource management and recruitment as a hiring manager.
– Assist with tendering opportunities for new projects as required.
– Address client and stakeholder concerns promptly, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
– Share lessons learned and suggest innovative solutions to enhance future project delivery.
– Stay updated on industry standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD).
– Undertake other duties as needed.Requirements– Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the water/wastewater industry.
– Strong knowledge of Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013; Managing Safely for Construction Managers certification preferred.
– Expertise in MEICA engineering (mechanical installation, control panels, electrical, commissioning).
– Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering required.
– Ability to work under pressure to meet project goals.
– Skilled in financial negotiations with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
– Proficient in Microsoft Project for programme management and updates.
– Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt during project delivery.
– Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– Excellent communication skills and motivation.
– Full driving license required.Benefits
