Morgan McKinley are seeking a Senior Demand Planning Analyst to join a leading healthcare company in Dublin that is at the forefront of innovation, dedicated to improving health outcomes globally.The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving the demand planning process. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure that demand forecasts are accurate and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.   • Demand Forecasting: Develop, refine, and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, market analysis, and sales data. Adjust forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and sales input.
  • S&OP Process: Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and supply chain capabilities. Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large sets of data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to management to support decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to gather inputs for the demand planning process and ensure alignment on business objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and other key metrics to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in demand planning and forecasting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key requirements:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in demand planning or a similar role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with statistical forecasting methods is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring junior analysts is an advantage.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
  • Certification: APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is preferred.
