Job Description Summary:

Rocket Software is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop and support performance and monitoring products for IBM z/OS mainframes. Required skills include High Level Assembler (HLASM). Knowledge of subsystems such as IMS, CICS, and Db2 are a distinct advantage. Highly desirable skills include C, DTL, REXX and familiarity with performance and monitoring products.

Rocket Software is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to develop and support performance and monitoring products for IBM z/OS mainframes. In this role, you’d become a highly valued technical expert working on one or more products with the support of our globally distributed team of engineering experts. You would find opportunities for creative collaboration with your peers through enhancements to our world-class portfolio of IMS performance and monitoring products. You enjoy leveraging new approaches and technologies to drive efforts to modernize and influence product direction. You would feel at home in this role if you have a background in mainframe product development and support coupled with an eagerness to both learn new things and to share what you know with others.

In this role you would be expected to have High Level Assembler (HLASM) language skills. Knowledge of subsystems such as IMS, CICS, and Db2 are a distinct advantage. Highly desirable skills include C, DTL, REXX and familiarity with performance products. The successful applicant may have previously worked on performance or monitoring products.
