Job description

IntroductionScience Talents is recruiting a Senior Statistician for client in clinical cancer research.The Senior Statistician will be responsible for supporting statistical activities across various groups, Task Forces, and cross-functional projects. Reporting to the Head of the Statistics Department, you will play a crucial role in the development, execution, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with policies and international guidelines. The role involves overseeing statistical work, collaborating with other departments, and supporting the medical team in interpreting trial outcomes.Job description

  • Develop study designs and protocols.
  • Collaborate on study setup, including case report forms and statistical analysis plans.
  • Analyze and program clinical trial data, reporting results to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate with the EORTC Independent Data Monitoring Committee Support Unit.
  • Contribute to the interpretation and presentation of study results, manuscripts, and conference materials.
  • Submit trial outcomes to regulatory bodies such as EudraCT and clinicaltrials.gov.
  • Actively participate in internal department meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant statistical techniques and mentor junior statisticians.

ProfielThe position is open for candidates with an MSc; PhD or ScD degree in biostatistics or statistics with at least 10 years of experience in clinical trials research in oncology. In addition; the position requires

  • Experience in the design of (preferably oncology) clinical trials and in survival analysis
  • Proficiency in the use of SAS; experience with R is an asset
  • Experience with CDISC/ADAM
  • Knowledge in health-related quality of life and/or health technology assessment is an asset
  • Good communication skills in both oral and written English
  • Ability to work in an international multidisciplinary environment
  • Capable of presenting and debating projects with partners
  • Able to write scientific communications
  • Dynamic and capable of working autonomously
