The Communications Manager role supports our Global Marketing function, a best-in-class marketing and digital organization.
Reporting to the Director of Global Marketing Communications, this role plays a critical part in creating and disseminating communications to the Global Marketing team, helping them understand our Company strategy, the impact they are making, while driving engagement. The Communications Manager will partner across teams to develop content and provide communications support for general Global Marketing, Digital Customer Leadership, and AI initiatives so that Manulife understands how Global Marketing is driving our strategy. In addition, the Communications Manager will be responsible for working with Global Marketing team members and the Global Communications Team to curate success stories to leveraged internally and externally including across communications, digital, corporate materials and more.
This role will partner closely with the rest of the Colleague Communications team to ensure you are aligned on key campaigns to manage the distribution lists and help build editorial content via email, Teams, our Intranet, SharePoint Hub and TVs. In addition, this role will support global events (Town Halls, Lunch and Learns, etc.) as needed.
With a passion and experience in analytics, the Communications Manager will manage dashboard development, create campaign reports, manage Smartsheet, and glean key learnings and opportunities aligned to the Segment and Global Communications.
Key Accountabilities

Support Global Marketing colleague campaigns with the development of Integrated Communications Plans and creative, and support the execution across internal channels (intranet, TVs, Teams, Events), ensuring consistent look and feel and that taxonomy and distribution lists are aligned to communication strategies (25%)

Support Global Marketing colleague events (Town Halls, Fireside Chats, Lunch and Learns, etc.) with logistics support and day-to-day management. Assist in the development of compiling briefing books, decks, and metrics. (25%)

Manage Global Marketing editorial content and calendars across all channels (Teams, MFCentral, email and TVs). Create and manage process for Global Marketing story collection. Regularly update and provide recommendations for Global Marketing key messages to advance Communications. (25%)

Working with the Global Marketing Communications colleagues, manage analytics and benchmarks for internal channels (Teams, intranet, Events, SharePoint Hub, emails). Ensure campaign metric reports, survey analytics, and calendaring are kept up to date (using Excel, Outlook, Forms, and PowerPoint), create post-campaign reports, monthly and quarterly reporting for Global Marketing leadership. (15%)

Provide support to other Global Function communications as appropriate. (10%)

Build emails using Staff base. Create and maintain monthly distribution lists for email and Teams channels, targeted to clear audience distribution definitions, aligned to upcoming campaigns. (5%)
Job Requirement:

6+ years in communications.

Experience in Marketing, Communications (Corporate or Agency).

Core competencies include communications or account management, event management, and reporting.

Experience at a financial institution a plus.

Experience working across complex stakeholders and initiatives in a global matrixed environment.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Forms, and Excel skills.

Self-directed, resourceful, and proactive, as well as creative, curious and open to innovative ideas and approaches.

Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to juggle projects, prioritize and meet tight deadlines.

Salary range is expected to be between
$84,375.00 CAD – $151,875.00 CAD
