Human Resource Manager – Galway – Onsite – PermanentThe HR manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group’s HR function and will have a key responsibility in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives consistent with and aligned with the company’s overall growth strategy.Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the HR Manager will provide HR partnership and operational support to the senior leadership and respective site leadership teams. An HR Administrator supports the HR manager role.The role will be varied including but not limited to Talent / Performance Management, Employee Relations, Engagement, Talent Acquisition, and HR OperationsResponsibilities:Strategic Responsibilities

  • Assistant in the formulation and delivery of a progressive HR strategy.
  • Lead the execution of HR strategies and initiatives to support the company’s strategic goals.
  • Delivery of focussed training and employee engagement program.
  • Assess the organisational design, and where identified delivery re-structure to shape business for further expansion.
  • Support the ongoing delivery of a positive and engaging work culture.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and plan, manage & expedite projects.
  • Monitor and report using data-driven results.

Functional Responsibilities – Recruitment, Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver overall talent acquisition solutions including
  • future workforce planning,
  • talent attraction,
  • on-boarding,
  • retention
  • and succession planning.
  • Advise on talent and people topics including compensation/benefits, retention, performance, and talent development.
  • Development of the senior and functional management team by way of training and coaching to improve management capabilities in the company.
  • Develop and design career and training initiatives.
  • Utilise employee engagement data to develop specific plans to positively impact employee engagement drivers.
  • Assess training and development needs of employees, developing supervisory training programs and maintaining training documentation.

HR Compliance

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of HR legal requirements ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Advise department managers and senior management on company policies and procedures regarding employment, compensation and employee relations.
  • Provide advice and guidance on issues such as disciplinary and grievance, absence, performance management,
  • Lead communication with employees and represent employee viewpoints and concerns to management.
  • Work with the H & S officer to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with the EAP provider

HR Operations

  • Maintenance of HR Administration; issue letters of offer, contracts, etc.
  • Develop and plan an annual training plan and budget
  • Coordinate and plan all company training activities.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection of all new employees
  • Support the functional managers in the monitoring and evaluation of employee performance.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Change orientated.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge and experience of Irish employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Influencing and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial outlook.
  • Strong Analytical and Reporting Skills
