The Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Systems Architect is the interface between the Digital Connectivity & Power (DCP) sales teams and our valued clients. The candidate must have excellent analytical skills, be able to multi-task on various projects, be highly motivated, a self-starter with superb oral and written communications skills and who enjoys working with people, solving complex technical issues, and providing best-in-class solutions and professional services.

Your Role:

As the Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Systems Architect, you will be a key resource supporting Siemens’ industrial communications and networking solutions across a wide range of industries. You will be responsible for offering expert-level professional services, conducting pre-sales and post-sales support, and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. You’ll also deliver technical training, workshops, and architecture designs, ensuring customers receive top-tier solutions. This position reports to the DCP Country Business Segment Manager for Australia & New Zealand.

This role involves an exciting blend of service professionalism with front line technical expertise within Siemens industrial communications solutions and products. The role also involves providing services in the Operational Technology (OT) domains of industrial strength networks, cybersecurity, and identification (RFID & Optical), in addition to providing training and technology workshops to customers and solution partners. Your technical strengths, communications / presentation skills and persistence will play a vital role in ensuring total customer satisfaction for existing accounts and establishing new accounts as a trusted solution advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver professional services for Siemens’ industrial communications, cybersecurity, and identification solutions.

  • Design, audit, and improve industrial network and cybersecurity architectures, including on-site customer engagements.

  • Provide technical presentations, certified training, and custom workshops for Siemens solutions such as RUGGEDCOM, SCALANCE, SINEC, SIMATIC, and third-party solutions.

  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities, supporting clients with the best-in-class technical solutions.

  • Deliver cybersecurity assessments and audits using frameworks such as NIST CSF, IEC-62443, Essential 8, and ISO 27000/1.

  • Travel across Australia and New Zealand up to 60% of the time to engage with clients and partners.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with customers, providing a high level of satisfaction.

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in industrial networking and cybersecurity architecture, design, and support.

  • Strong understanding of industrial verticals like Power Utilities, Transportation, and Mining.

  • Knowledge of Ethernet & IP-based communications, wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, WiMAX, LTE), and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Siemens RUGGEDCOM, SCALANCE, SINEC, SINEMA, and SIMATIC product lines.

  • Familiarity with competitive products (Cisco, Hirschman, Moxa) in the Australia and New Zealand market.

  • Experience with delivering cybersecurity audits, assessments, and penetration testing.

  • Relevant certifications such as Siemens, Cisco, CompTIA are a plus.
