About Our Client:

Our client is a Level I Trauma Center in Texas, offering advanced medical care in various specialized fields. They are seeking a skilled Remote Inpatient Coder to join their team, contributing to accurate and efficient medical coding for a diverse case mix.

Job Description:

The Remote Inpatient Coder will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient cases across a wide range of medical specialties, including Cardiology, Hematology, Oncology, ICU, Sepsis, Neurology, Neonatal, Orthopedics, Transplants, and Trauma. The role involves working with EPIC, 3M 360, and CAC software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code inpatient cases with a focus on Cardiology, Hematology, Oncology, ICU, Sepsis, Neurology, Neonatal, Orthopedics, Transplants, and Trauma.
  • Ensure productivity and accuracy, achieving a rate of 2.5 charts per hour with a quality standard of 95%.
  • Utilize EPIC, 3M 360, and CAC software for coding tasks.
  • Maintain flexibility in work hours after the first 5 weeks.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Health Information Management (HIM).
  • Proficiency with EPIC, 3M 360, and CAC software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in coding.

Additional Details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime hours, with flexible hours after 5 weeks.
  • Computer equipment provided by Addison.
