Within our Surface Transportation, Aviation & Ports Team in Ireland we currently have over 150 multi-disciplinary professionals working across a diverse range of clients and infrastructure projects.Due to the recent growth and pipeline of major active travel and public transport programmes with our key clients we are seeking expressions of interest for an enthusiastic and determined Senior Project Manager who will lead the coordination and standardisation of complex urban scheme designs, with industry experience to join our growing team. The role will be based in our brand-new offices in Dublin City Centre. They will be ready to take the next step in their career taking a leadership role in the delivery and co-ordination of design packages on complex infrastructure programmes ensuring these are delivered to the AECOM quality standards, on time and budget.ProjectsOur current portfolio of transportation infrastructure works comprises a diverse mix of local and national Active Travel projects for major Clients including BusConnects in Dublin and Cork, major Greenway projects (in Cork, Waterford, Galway and Donegal), multiple active travel and bus priority schemes in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin City, Cork and Galway amongst other local authorities. We also work alongside our rail, aviation and power teams as part of our agile delivery approach to developing well rounded staff. Take advantage of career development opportunities, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days.Job responsibilities include:Develop technical standards, oversee and coordinate design standards and identify and evaluate opportunities for technical efficiency or innovation to increase value;Develop and implement a Technical Assurance Framework for civil infrastructure, co-ordinating with technical teams;Define, maintain and coordinate technical standards and specifications that support a best whole life cost solution; andManage, review and provide recommendations in relation to any necessary deviations from standard (i.e., Departures or Relaxations).QualificationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc)Chartered Engineer & Member of relevant professional engineering institution (e.g. IEI, ICE or equivalent)Preferred Skills & ExperienceRequired to have design management experience, ideally working in a multi-disciplinary design team, and have excellent communication skills with all disciplines, partners, 3rd Parties, and clients;Design experience in public transport, urban active travel or other urban infrastructure, such as rail / light rail and utility diversions.Overseeing internal design interfaces and carrying out risk management activities in relation to designs;Driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies, and standards; andManaging high-performing staff / teams including carrying out performance management, undertaking resource planning and embedding a focus on continuous improvement and best-practice.Additional InformationWe celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
