Consultant to Provide Support in Writing and Editing of Two GAC Project Operational Reports

1.BACKGROUND AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY

Right To Play International (RTP) is seeking the services of a consultant who can support the writing and editing of operational reports for two of its Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded projects during a period of staff transition.

2.OVERALL TASKS

  • Review first and second draft submissions of narrative operational reports from country offices (Mali and Senegal) and provide feedback based on areas that require additional information or need further adjustments
  • Copy-edit both reports in line with RTP’s editorial guidelines to ensure reports are of a high-quality standard
  • Ensure compliance with GAC’s reporting guidelines and requirements
  • Collaborate with RTP’s Monitoring & Evaluation team to ensure alignment between the narrative report and the Activity and Output Tracking Sheet

3.DELIVERABLES

  • The consultant will collaborate with RTP staff on the finalization of the deliverables, which include:
    • 2 Narrative Operational Reports
    • 2 Output and Activity Tracking Sheets (that align with the Narrative Operational Reports)
  • The consultancy will be for a maximum of 12 working days (8 working hours per day) – the consultant will work with RTP’s Director of Global Partnerships to assess how best to utilize their time throughout the consultancy period and across both projects.

4.TIME FRAME

  • The consultancy will begin on October 15th.
  • Both reports are due to the donor on November 15th.

5.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and especially French
  • Previous experience working on GAC reports and projects
  • High orientation to detail
