Position Overview:

Our internship program offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional development through a carefully designed combination of specialized work experience and educational leadership programming. As an intern with ARFADA, you will have the chance to work closely with humanitarian and development actors in conflict-affected countries in the Middle East.

The internship aspect of the program involves the selection of a specific staff position related to your career goals, such as business development, monitoring and evaluation, or research. You will assume full responsibility as staff and work under the guidance of an experienced supervisor who will empower you in your job. Certificates of completion will be provided at the end of the internship period. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in the Middle East consultancy field, the internship is designed to provide personal and professional development opportunities. We welcome candidates who are eager to work as part of a team to improve the impact of development and humanitarian work and to help transform the lives of affected communities for the better.

To be considered for this internship, recent graduates of universities or colleges are preferred, with a degree preferably in international studies-related fields. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is a background in research and an interest in the Middle East region. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is a must, and knowledge of Arabic is an asset. Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office and Internet usage, is also required. We are seeking a flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic team player with a persistent drive to deliver results.

As an intern with ARFADA, your responsibilities will include ensuring the effective use and management of the data generated through our research assignments and monitoring and evaluation contracts. This will involve supporting contracted projects in management capacities, supporting the Business Development Unit in developing and securing new strategic opportunities, and participating in research tool development. You will also be responsible for drafting reports, carrying out qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and interpreting visualized data. Maintaining a cooperative relationship with key stakeholders, including INGOs, CSOs, bilateral organizations, and donor partners, is essential. Finally, you will be expected to research the market for identifying new business opportunities, support proposal writing, and lead on all media products and advertisements.
