The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing legal service delivery by integrating advanced legal processes with leading-edge technology solutions.Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the legal, operational, and business processes used in the delivery of legal services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the technology solutions within the organisation’s portfolio, demonstrating their benefits and usage to internal teams and clients.
- Conduct workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather and analyse business requirements, both functional and non-functional.
- Perform gap analysis on legal processes against existing solutions, identifying enhancements needed to meet project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
- Assess, compare, and evaluate new product capabilities, including conducting trials where necessary.
- Produce detailed requirements and functional specifications, documenting changes to legal processes using best practice methods.
- Liaise with stakeholders to secure approval on requirements prior to solution development, prioritising and sequencing project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding project scope and timelines, ensuring clear communication of any changes.
- Oversee the contracts and relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project designs align with technical, data protection, and information security standards.
- Support user acceptance testing to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
- Facilitate a smooth transition to new solutions by developing and executing detailed cutover plans.
- Create and deliver training programs to promote effective adoption of legal technology solutions.
- Stay informed on emerging legal technology trends and explore their integration into the organisation’s operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal or legal technology role with a strong understanding of legal processes and workflows.
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between legal processes and technology use.
- Experience producing high-quality business requirements and project documentation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects through to completion, including end-to-end lifecycle management and testing.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and diagramming tools like Visio or Lucid.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in legal technology tools such as contract management systems, document automation platforms, and case management software.
- Experience with AI and generative AI in the legal domain.
Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in law, engineering, computer science, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
