Starting salary for this position is £40,416 per annum (plus contributory pension if UK based)

About MAG:

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in 32 countries. We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.

About the role:

This is a fascinating new role in our evolving People and Culture team. You will be a key player and provide critical support to ensure that we deliver on our strategic plan. You will lead the design and continual implementation of our Learning and Development strategy and associated activities to ensure that we are inclusively supporting and developing our worldwide workforce to ensure we have the skills, capacity, and culture to achieve high-quality programming.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and compassionate learning and development professional with demonstrable experience of understanding, analysing, and responding to organisational needs. You will be an excellent communicator, skilled in stakeholder management and engagement, with the ability to influence across all levels. You will have expert training delivery skills supported by the flexibility to adapt for a range of contexts. You will be ready to work hands-on, and have the flexibility to move between operational and strategic work. You will be up-to-date with trends and innovations in learning and development, and ready to advise us on how we can ensure that we have the right skills and capabilities to deliver our mission.
