Lead the remote FA team in the daily operation of the Financial Aid Department to ensure all incoming students are accurately and completely packaged. Assist in planning, directing, implementing, and monitoring the timely processing of Financial Aid in accordance with federal and/or state regulations and Company policy. Lead the training, development, and evaluation of remote staff to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements. Ensure confidentiality among all Financial Aid remote staff. FA Manager-remote will also be responsible for the daily management of remote Financial Aid Advisors.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree and minimum of 2 years experience in Title IV Administration OR Minimum of 3 years experience in Title IV Administration and management.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
- Ability to manage a team of employees
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience managing a team of FA Advisor
Responsibilities
- Ensure all incoming student aid packages are complete and accurate
- Ensure all incoming student files are complete and all needed documents are collected in a timely manner
- Reaching out to students to assist in the completion of packaging as well as working closely with all departments to ensure all start requirements are in place when students begin school
- Ensure compliance with Lincoln’s mission to provide outstanding customer service throughout the student experience
- Management of the daily operations of the remote Financial Aid function and implement new policies to ensure the accurate, timely, and ethical awarding and processing of Title IV program funds according to federal and/or state regulations and Company policies and procedures
- Hire, train, manage and supervise remote Financial Aid Advisors. Responsible for adequate training and development of remote Financial Aid staff, maintenance of planning load as needed, and provide for self and staff professional and personal development
- Answer student questions concerning the student aid package promptly, professionally, and accurately
- Oversee the processing of new student loans and grant applications. Monitor and track the school’s Institutional Loan Program for future starts.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of verification and supporting documentation.
- Oversee and monitor maintenance of document tracking systems
- Required travel up to 25%
