What you’ll be doing?

As Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager you are responsible for overseeing the Commercial team working with the Hotel to achieve pre-established goals. Responsible for maximizing sales for groups and events to remain a hotel leader in the marketplace.

  • Maximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities
  • Manage the commercial team to achieve planned and forecasted revenues and the department’s Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure the Reservations andGCE Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contract
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Manage team members performance in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Sales & Reservations team

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be client and guest focused and will collaborate with the hotel team to drive the sales success of the hotel by building and maintaining excellent relationships across the Corporate, Travel and Catering functions.

  • Recent experience in a similar position
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
  • Excellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • A positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • The flexibility to respond to a range of different situations
  • The drive and ability to work under pressure using your creativity, tenacity and initiative
