The role:

Opportunities exist for an Analyst level II to join our team in Kensington. You will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You will also conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyse data and report results.

Your day to day will include but is not limited to:

  • Receiving, registration weighing and sample preparation

  • Managing several tests / tasks at once and coordinating with other personnel

  • Managing contingencies

  • Operating analytical equipment requiring decisions to be made based on technical knowledge

  • Assisting with clients courier booking for sample pick up

  • Communicating sample requirements to other personnel

  • Choosing and optimising procedures and equipment settings to suit sample/test requirements

What’s needed?

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Science or related discipline (desirable)

  • Hands on experience in a laboratory environment (desirable)

  • Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlines

  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team

  • Experience in a fast paced environment with a strong customer focus

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
