IT Mobile EngineerLincolnshire County CouncilPermanent, Full Time£26,000 + BenefitsHere at Serco we are looking for an IT Mobiles Engineer to join the team at Lincolnshire County Council.As the IT Mobiles Engineer team member you will be the front line for all IT Incidents and Requests raised by Lincolnshire County Council. You will answer phone calls, respond to tickets raised via the Web Portal, conduct triage to the relevant level 2 and level 3 teams or resolving themselves.
You will complete all tickets which will be defined in the Service Catalogue, within the agreed SLA’s. This includes Incident Management, Event Management, Problem Management (first level), Access Management and Request Fulfilment (first level).You will report into the IT Service Desk Manager and your key accountabilities will be;

  • To provide the initial contact support for all IT Incidents and Service Requests within the Service Catalogue for Mobile Devices.
  • To record all activity for inbound Incidents and Service Requests in the designated Ticket Management System, ensuring that all tickets contain full details, have the correct category and sub-category designation and are correctly prioritised.
  • To facilitate the restoration of normal operational service with minimal business impact on the Customer within agreed service levels and business priorities.
  • Ensure ownership is taken of user issues whilst actively communicating with the customer.
  • Provide technically accurate solutions to customers escalating complex issues to second- and third-line support where necessary.
  • Ensuring company Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Follow ITIL guidelines where applicable.

What you will need

  • An ability to record detail in a structured and accurate manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both orally and in writing to service users at all levels, colleagues, and professionals.
  • Experience of Service Desk and/or Mobile Telephony Support, and interest in Information Technology.
  • A practical understanding of the following Applications and a willingness to learn:
  • Mobile devices – Microsoft, Android & Apple
