Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an AI/ML Systems Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks:

• Collect business requirement and analyse advanced AI solutions or identify and assess relevant existing data mining, machine learning and business intelligence solution;
• Participate in the design of the IT architecture for solutions in the NLP / ML / AI fields, and coordinate its implementation considering master- and meta-data management concepts;
• Specification and design of presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience;
• Produce data models, define data controls and implement actions to ensure data quality and integrity;
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the analytics architecture and its solution stack;
• Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance;
• Analysis of business requirements, business model and risk;
• Business process analysis and modelling, as well as functional requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Strong experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Network, and/or artificial intelligence frameworks;
• Strong experience in one of the following areas: predictive (forecasting, recommendation), prescriptive (simulation), sentiment analysis, topic detection, social media crawling and processing, plagiarism detection, trends/anomalies detection in datasets, recommendation systems;
• Strong experience in Large Language Models and Graph Databases;
• Expertise in the ETL processes and tools (SAS, Talend Open Studio) ;
• Experience with alignment models and classification methods;
• Experience with data analytics over big datasets, non-structured databases as well as data lakes ;
• Experience with languages like R, Python, PERL and NLP techniques;
• Good knowledge of BPMN, UML or other equivalent values and Wiki or other collaborative sites;
• Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, interaction diagrams);
• Good knowledge of business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, SAS, SAP, GoodData) and SQL tooling (NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL);
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (RUP, Agile) and architectural design and implementation of scalable modern data stores;
• Excellent command of the English language.
